What do you see?
It was a Monday night at 9pm and my husband had just called from a Tim Horton’s in St. Catherine coming home from New Jersey at the Million Mind March, Wisdom school weekend. www.millionmindmarchblog.com
By Sunday night my daughter and I were very much missing him. He called and we chatted for a few minutes as he was telling us about the weather was very snowy and he had another few hours of driving. He had told me he was going to sit for a bit and listen to the Million Mind March call.
I had been reminded by Diane Hochman on FaceBook about the call, so I thought I would call in just to hear his voice some more and hear about how the weekend was through others who had attended. http://www.dianehochman.com/
What had really got my attention was a man by the name of Paul Gaume. He was really speaking to me that night. He talked about truly loving yourself and being able to look at your self in the eyes and be happy with what you see and to tell yourself you are great. I thought to myself wow I find that a challenge and yes I need to learn to do that.
I thought about in Society today how so many only look at people on the outside not truly look at a person from within. I mean to really look into someones eyes and see the inner soul the beauty that is within. For days after hearing him say that it was haunting me almost, running through my mind consistently.
For the past couple of days when I have been talking to my daughter and husband I have been trying to look into there eyes and seeing into them while they are talking. I found this a challenge and powerful.
Tonight while I was out with Ed for dinner I was really looking into his eyes when I was talking to him and I could see something so powerful and loving I almost started to cry and I had to look away. I thought to myself how many times have I have had arguments and disagreements and only looked on the outside instead of what his eyes were truly saying. How could I have missed that.
I realized that my judgments my fears and myself esteem was stopping me from truly seeing what was within.
What a beautiful connection we can have with each other through this one action. I have noticed this within the business world. I have met many people who will say hi, shake your hand but never you look you in the eye, they just look away, but what a powerful way to make a connection with someone and really build a true relationship with someone. As someone once said you will find the heart of someone through there eyes.
My challenge from everyone is when you are meeting people or talking with friends, family and spouse is to look them in the eyes and give your full attention and see what someones eyes are saying the passion that comes from them. And see the inner soul. This is also a challenge to myself to keep working on.
Hope everyone has a sensational Weekend.
Love always
